The population of Szilvásvárad is about 1953 inhabitants. According to the oldest documents and archives, the village always had been in royal or noble property. It was the property of the following noble families up to the nationalization: Pálóczi, Keglevich, Erdődy and Pallavicini. 
Thanks to these noble families, during the times it became a sophisticated village with unique milieu. 
Szilvásvárad as a holiday resort is registered since 1971, but in 1984 became really famous and well known, thanks to the VII. Horse-drawn World Cup. From its several national monuments some really unique are the Round White Calvinist Church, Orbán-house which is a splendid heritage of folk architecture and finally the Pallavicini Castle which a castle hotel at the moment.
In Szilvásvárad, at Csipkésút-Nagymező is the National Stud Farm, where horse -breeding of Lipicai horse is famous.
The hotel is fully non-smoking. One of the double rooms in the hotel building and one of the apartment houses has been designed for disabled guests.

4 family rooms are in the loft. The sofa in the living room can be converted to a comfortable bed. These rooms are equipped the same as the double rooms. 
This VIP suite is 80 m2 with 3 rooms, a meeting room (30 m2) and a terrace (25 m2 ). The living room  has multimedia facilities, in the bathroom there is a Jacuzzi
